Strings of Our Hearts

Miguel’s birthday is on 15 September, and this year Conrad and Scott were able to spend an afternoon celebrating with him. The trio spent an easy Sunday at Miguel’s home being spoiled by his family with homemade food and drinks. 

As the day’s hues changed from blue to yellow to orange, strings were placed into each other's hands, and slowly, humble tones started dancing around the room.

Miguel insisted on “no presents,” but getting to hear Conrad’s unrehearsed version of Marilyn Monroe’s Happy Birthday, accompanied by the dulled chords played by Scott’s stretched-out fingers was a gift in themselves.
