Oasis

I will never forget the hours we spent together. The air was cool, breezing through our hair. The salty ocean spray, misty in our faces. And the sand was so hot,  it would burn when we rubbed it between our toes.

We sat together under the shade of the umbrella. Our laughter was louder than the waves crashing on the shore. Your hand brushed against mine. Your fingers laced between mine. We sat together in an oasis.

Your hair was curled golden in the summer sun. Your opal blue eyes reflected the ocean’s water. Your smile was gentle like your shy glances into my eyes. Our hearts thumped together in a delicate symphony.
