Fierce and ferocious. Strong and savage. A heroic protector and defender from evil. 

That is River’s reason for choosing the swordsman class when Scott invited him to play a new MMORPG. It’s the first computer game that River has played, so he’s still testing Scott’s patience with questions like ‘Which keys do I press?’ or ‘What does this icon mean?’ or ‘Why can't I pick this thing up?’

While River continues to learn the ropes of the online game, he follows around Scott’s characters. A hawkeye archer who defends the sprouting warrior as he fights off the beasts and monsters, or a legendary sage who blasts armies of savage enemies while the young warrior clashes on the front lines with them.

Scott doesn’t mind though. Any extra time he gets to spend with River is precious.
