Emerald Solace

A framed piece of work is printed on a natural canvas and hung on a natural white wall. Velvet red curtains hang down from either side to keep the audience’s vision centered on the artwork. The large artwork is at least two meters wide and reaches higher than the top of a person's head. A thick and dark wooden frame, embossed with gold and carved with intricate details, surrounds the canvas and highlights the image’s vivid colors. Above the artwork, soft white lights draw out the natural hues in the picture and create shadows that emphasize the delicate grooves and notches in the canvas. Finally, a small silver plaque is located below the artwork etched with its name and a brief description of the meaning or inspiration behind the piece.

Artworks evoke emotions. They are images that bring forth feelings from within and express things that cannot be said. It feels like a distant dream of mine to one day fill a gallery with my artworks and prints. I want to be able to express the numerous meanings and various messages that can only be conveyed if the artworks are viewed at their full size, and when all their fine and intricate details become visible all at once.
